Save straight from the Instagram app
On Android: open KeepClip in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then Install app (or Add to Home screen). After that, KeepClip appears in your phone's share menu. In Instagram, tap the paper-plane icon on a post or Reel, then Share (or More), choose KeepClip, and the download opens.
On iPhone: tap Copy link in Instagram, open KeepClip, and tap Paste. Safari doesn't let websites appear in the Share menu yet.
Questions
Do I get every slide of a carousel?
Yes. Each photo and video in the post gets its own button, and the files are numbered _1, _2, _3 in the same order as on Instagram.
What size are the photos?
The largest size Instagram offers for that post, usually 1080 pixels wide. Smaller sizes are under “Other sizes” if you want a lighter file.
Can I download photos from a private account?
No. KeepClip only works with public posts.
Is it free?
Yes. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to install.
