How to download Instagram Reels on iPhone

Download the Reel

1. In Instagram, open the Reel and tap the paper-plane icon under it, then Copy link.
2. Open Safari and go to keepclip.app.
3. Tap Paste. Safari may show a small Paste bubble next to it; tap that too. The lookup starts on its own. (Or long-press the box, choose Paste, and tap Get download links.)
4. Tap Download video. Safari asks whether you want to download the file; tap Download.

Move it into Photos

Safari saves downloads in the Files app, so the video won't show up in Photos yet. This is the step that catches most people out.

1. Open the Files app and go to Downloads. You can also tap the download arrow in Safari's address bar and then the file.
2. Open the video, tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up), then Save Video.
3. The Reel is now in Photos, named after the account and the post.

Make it quicker next time

In Safari, with keepclip.app open, tap the Share button and then Add to Home Screen. KeepClip then opens like an app, straight to the paste box.

iPhones don't let websites appear in Instagram's share menu, so copying the link is still needed. On Telegram, you can also send the link to @KeepClip_bot and get the video back in the chat.
